Is this online file transfer really free?
Yes — sending and receiving are free up to 10 GB per transfer, with no account and no ads. BIShare is open source (MIT) and has no paid plans.
How large can the file be?
Up to 10 GB per transfer on the free tier. Large uploads are resumable, so a dropped connection or page reload continues where it left off.
Are my files private?
Yes. Files are encrypted end-to-end in your browser with AES-256-GCM before upload; the decryption key travels in the link fragment and never reaches our servers, so we only ever store ciphertext.
How long do transfer links last?
24 hours, then the file is deleted automatically. You can also make a transfer one-time so it disappears right after the first download.
Does the recipient need an app or account?
No — they just open the link (or enter the 6-character code) in any browser on any device: iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, or Linux.
