One mark, four meanings

Two opposing arrows meeting at a single point of light — sharing that is two-way, direct, and yours.

Two-wayPeer-to-peerPrivateInstant

“Bi” means two. True sharing is always two-way — giving and receiving at once. Two arrows pointing opposite ways are the heart of the name BIShare.

The mark

The meaning of each element

It is not a refresh icon — it is two exchange arrows meeting at a single point of light.

Two arrows

Reciprocity

Perfect 180° rotational symmetry: there is no primary sender or receiver. Both devices are equal — each one gives and takes. This is the “Bi”.

Center node

Direct link

The glowing node in the middle is the point where two devices shake hands directly. No middleman on the data path.

45° angles

Speed

Sharp diagonals and crisp arrowheads convey motion — instant, near-wire-speed transfers on the local network.

Contained form

Private & safe

A tight, self-contained composition: data stays between the two points. Deep blue and indigo signal trust and the depth of privacy.

Construction

Deliberate geometry

  • 180° rotational symmetry. Rotate the mark a half-turn and it is identical — visual proof of two-way equality.
  • 45° axis. Both arrows sit parallel on a 45° tilt — dynamic yet calm.
  • iOS squircle. Corner curves follow Apple's superellipse, so it sits naturally among premium icons.
  • ≥12% safe space. Generous padding keeps the mark breathing at the smallest sizes.

Color

The icon palette

The four colors that live inside the mark itself. The product interface uses its own light and dark token sets — the same blue family, tuned separately for contrast.

INTERFACE TOKENS

In the UI, brand blue is a theme token — #3B82F6 on dark, #2563EB on light — so text and controls keep AA contrast in both themes. The icon palette never dictates interface color.

How we build

The mark is a promise

The same ideas in the logo shape every engineering decision.

Local-first

If two devices can talk directly, they should — the shortest path is the fastest and most private. When they can't, a secure link carries the file instead. Local speed, remote reach.

Encrypted, always

AES-256-GCM end to end, on every transfer. Not a setting. Not a premium tier. The default, because it should be.

No audience

No tracking, no ads, no data resale. A file passing between two people should have exactly two interested parties.
